EntryScape is now released in version 3.5! In this version, EntryScape becomes even more accessible and you can now use secondary navigation with keyboard. With customized configuration, you can add different types of metadata directories e.g. focused on open data, geodata or internal and shared data. You can also select different project types in Workbench for managing documents and collections. All the descriptions you have made in a proposal are also included when the proposal becomes a dataset.

EntryScape version 3.5 is now here! EntryScape is an open source software for smart information management e.g. open data, shared data and internal data. EntryScape is available as open source. Since 2014, EntryScape has evolved to become the market-leading solution for metadata, open data and shared data in Sweden.

As EntryScape grows in use and MetaSolutions grows, we are publishing more information about how EntryScape is developing. Here is an update on what has happened:

What you prepared in Proposals goes into Data Set
A hotly anticipated new feature is here! When you describe a Proposal and then add it as a Data Set, all metadata such as title and description will follow in the languages you described. Time saving if anything! Therefore, we are extra happy to present this.

Outline view
Now you can easily search for attributes and fields when editing entities in EntryScape. You can also click in the outline view to jump to the field you want to edit. This applies to all entities in EntryScape, whether they are proposals, datasets, contacts or anything else!

Psst… Just remember to enable Recommended and Optional fields to search and click on those fields!

Project types in EntryScape Catalog
EntryScape now supports project types in the EntryScape Catalog and this can be used to create catalogs with a specific type of data. Maybe the municipality’s urban planning department needs an open data catalog that works with both DCAT-AP and INSPIRE? Or does the security department need a type of catalog only for secure management of internal data? With 3.5 it will be easy to create a catalog for purposes!

Project types in EntryScape Workbench
EntryScape now supports project types in the EntryScape Workbench. It is now possible to configure your Workbench to be able to set up different types of documents, e.g. to create different types of collections or views and shares.

Improved visualizations and more projections
EntryScape now has improved support for visualizations of maps of e.g. WMS and WFS services. Support for more WMS projections by transforming coordinates from one projection to another. It all works seamlessly with EntryScape Blocks, giving you accessible display of open data for external use or shared data within your organization – directly in your web environment.

Easier secondary navigation via keyboard
EntryScape now has improved accessibility and support for secondary navigation via keyboard. The Tab key now makes it easier to navigate through EntryScape with text support and without the mouse pointer.
