History
MetaSolutions was founded in 2011 as a spin-off from KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The technology base in the company comes from research in Linked Data and products are build on Open Source. The founders of the company have played an active role within the Linked Data and Open Data societies.
MetaSolution was acquired by the Swedish Internet Foundation (Internetstiftelsen) in 2020.

The Swedish Internet Foundation is an independent, private foundation that works for the positive development of the internet. We are responsible for the Swedish top-level domain .se and the operation of the top-level domain .nu, and our vision is that everyone in Sweden wants to, dares to and is able to use the internet.
