EntryScape is here in version 3.14, which introduces pie charts in honor of the version number – and becomes the first in the world to introduce support for DCAT-AP 3.0 and dataset series! Of course, EntryScape 3.14 also comes with minor fixes such as improved draft functionality. EntryScape 3.14 may seem like a small update, but it is a big update to be first in the world to fully support the latest EU standard DCAT-AP 3.0.
World’s first DCAT-AP 3.0 support!
EntryScape 3.14 is now the first to support the latest EU standard DCAT-AP 3.0, adapted for use in Sweden. With EntryScape 3.14, full support for DCAT-AP 3.0 is introduced and you can describe your information and data and know for sure that you follow the standard and that your metadata are interoperable.
First software to support dataset series
EntryScape is the first metadata software in the world to introduce support for managing dataset series. So what is a dataset series? Simply explained, it is as follows. Dataset series can be used to group data that belong together, for example in time series. It can be data in a particular time series that can be grouped together, e.g. the annual recurrent budget of an organization. It is also possible to make other types of groupings, such as thematic or spatial. If you are not sure whether to choose a dataset or a dataset series, as an EntryScape user you can rely on the community and experts who use and develop EntryScape. However, if you are still using DCAT-AP 2, you will have to upgrade to DCAT-AP 3.0 or later to be able to use dataset series in EntryScape 3.14.
3.14 means pie charts in Catalog & Blocks!
With version 3.14, EntryScape takes the opportunity to introduce pie charts! Now you can finally make long-awaited pie charts as visualizations in EntryScape Catalog. Pie charts are suitable for when you want to show the relationship of parts to the whole, especially for percentages. They can make complicated information easier to understand. Of course, it can also be presented on your website with EntryScape Blocks.
